California considers its water supply

Just as I was calling on my local commissions to take note of our perhaps-unsustainable water supply, California’s new governor (Gavin Newsom) announced a new Water Resilience initiative. His office and the Department of Water Resources (DWR) are asking the citizenry and stakeholder groups for ideas for making the state’s water supply more resilient.

Today, via webinar, DWR presented its statewide water plan and a new tool for communities and regions to take stock of their water needs. This will be integrated with the Water Resilience effort, they said. Here are links:
